America’s Car-Mart Earns Membership In 95-Plus Composite Rating Club

On Wednesday, America’s Car-Mart (CRMT) got an upgrade for its IBD SmartSelect Composite Rating from 92 to 96.

The upgrade means the stock currently tops 96% of all other stocks in terms of key performance metrics and technical strength.

America’s Car-Mart is currently forming a consolidation, with a 177.55 buy point. See if the stock can break out in heavy trade at least 40% higher than normal.

The stock earns a 99 EPS Rating, meaning its recent quarterly and longer-term annual earnings growth is outpacing 99% of all stocks.

Its Accumulation/Distribution Rating of C shows a roughly equal amount of buying and selling by institutional investors over the last 13 weeks.

The company reported a 359% rise in earnings for Q4. It has now posted accelerating EPS increases for two consecutive quarters. Sales growth increased 43%, up from 22% in the prior report. That marks three consecutive reports with rising growth.

America’s Car-Mart holds the No. 4 rank among its peers in the Retail/Wholesale-Auto Parts industry group. Autonation (AN) is the top-ranked stock within the group.
