Aubrey Plaza is a married woman and she confirmed the news in a typically casual style on Friday.

The Parks and Recreation star revealed she has tied the knot with longtime love Jeff Baena as she announced the pair have teamed up together for a new film.

‘So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to Italia to cause some more trouble (sic),’ she wrote alongside a sweet snap of the couple, referring to their next movie together Spin Me Round.

She added: ‘Excited to be reunited with the amazing @alisonbrie (who also co-wrote this one!) and @theofficialsuperstar @sordociego @lauren_weedman and so many more fun people in this. Preparati!!’

The 36-year-old actress and the director have been linked since 2011 and Aubrey’s starred in his movies Life After Beth (2014) and The Little Hours (2017).

Fans were stunned by the happy news as one wrote: ‘UM HUSBAND HOLD ON THERE’.

Another commented, ‘BESTIE WHAT DO YOU MEAN HUSBAND???, while one fan asked: ‘WAIT OMG DID YOU GUYS GET MARRIED.’

The couple have been working together while in quarantine, with the actress making her directorial debut in Showtime’s new found footage anthology series Cinema Toast, created by her husband.

Speaking to People about the project, Aubrey explained: ‘We were quarantined for months and months like everybody else.

‘And we did enjoy it. I think it was, obviously other than all of the catastrophic things happening in the world, just on a personal level, relationship level, was kind of nice to just be forced to be in one place for that long. Could have gone either way, I guess.’
