Julie Bowen was a real-life hero recently while hiking at Arches National Park in Utah.
The 51-year-old Emmy-winning Modern Family actress came to the aid of a woman who fainted and hit her nose.
The woman, whose name is Minnie John, took to her Facebook to share what happened and to post some photos with Julie.

Minnie said that she was hiking at the park with her family and she became light-headed, so she sat on a rock and rested while her husband and son continued the hike. She ended up passing out due to low blood sugar and she hit her nose when she fainted.
Julie was hiking in the same area alongside her sister Annie, a doctor, and their guide.
“All I remember is sitting there with my head in my hands secure on the rock. Next thing I hear someone with a familiar voice kept asking me questions. I wondered if i might be watching tv. My eyes were closed and they said I will be fine and they were cleaning my face and bandaging me up. I heard that familiar voice saying I am going to be ok, a doctor is cleaning me up,” Minnie wrote on Facebook.
She continued, “After so many more questions and sticking gooey things in my mouth, giving me electrolytes, they lifted me up as I opened my eyes and set me back on that rock, that face looked so familiar again and I asked her again if I knew her or was she famous and the doctor said yes. As my eyes started to focus more, she smiled and took her hair tie off and shook her hair for me to figure out. Her sister the doctor asked me to guess and I told her I just hit my head, I can’t remember. She said smiling ‘Modern Family’ and I said of course! I told her she was so beautiful. She introduced me to her sister Annie, the doctor, and she is of course Julie Bowen! They explained to me that the guide who was with the them, saw me fall forward splat on my face. My glasses broke my fall flat down, hitting my head on the flat rock breaking my skin on various areas near my nose. They had everything to clean up my wounds and set me up.”
Minnie was treated for a fractured nose at a local hospital and is thankfully “doing just fine.”
Last year, it was announced that Julie had booked a post-Modern Family role, though no further news about the show has been revealed.
