Nicole Kidman Kissed Her Long Hair Goodbye in Favor of a Cool Pixie Cut

Nicole Kidman, one of Hollywood’s best chameleons, featured a new ‘do recently and it’s honestly such a departure from her usual flowy, long hair!

The new look in her first IG post featuring it is giving late-2000s poof meets voluminous pixie. But don’t go getting married to the change up just yet, y’all—the wig cut is likely for Nicole’s role in Roar, a new series slated for Apple TV+. On set 🌈 #Roar #FemaleFilmmakers” reads the caption.

Roar, which is based off a collection of short stories by Cecelia Ahern (aka the woman who also wrote P.S. I Love You), will include eight half-hour episodes of “darkly comic feminist fables” with an emphasis on the female POV, according to the press release. Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Wever, and Alison Brie also star alongside Nicole in the series.

Nicole’s already posted about her new look multiple times, including a shot overlooking a v ~serene~ landscape. You can see her locks end just above her coat’s hood and the caption says “#WrapDay 🌅 #Roar”.

But just a few days ago, the actress posted another IG pic with seemingly the same hair but with a lil side-swept bayang pinned to the side, giving a purposefully messy and slightly tussled appearance. This time, there was no mention of the show. “Congratulations from this BMX Bandit to @LoganMartinBMX for winning the first ever Olympic Gold Medal for #FreestyleBMX! 🏅🚴 #Tokyo2020 #Olympics” read the caption.

TBH we don’t think Nicole has cut her real golden mane, but it’s always fun to see celebs change it up! But what do you think? Should Nicole commit to a real life short look?!
